The Rules of CrapsBefore rolling the dice, the Craps player places his bets. For this, he places his chips on the table layout. Each area will enable you to win or lose. Once the chips are placed, the player will toss his dice. To fully comprehend in which cases the dice are winners or losers, one needs to know what the different areas signify and thus what the various possible bets are. Craps requires a few minutes of training, and the best way is for you to practice with free money, which you can do in Winpalace Casino. The different areas of the craps tableThe player rolls the dice. - If he rolls a 7 or an 11, he wins his bet.
- If he rolls a 2, 3 or 12, he loses his bet. The shooter "craps out."
- If he rolls a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10, the shooter establishes a point and the dealer places a marker on the table to indicate the point value that came out.
Once a point is established, the player rolls the dice repeatedly until he rolls the point number or else hits a 7. - If he rolls the point again, he wins his bet.
- If he rolls a 7 before rolling the point, he loses his bet.
The bets in CrapsHere are the different types of bets: - "Pass" Bet: betting, for the first roll, that the shooter will hit a 7 or 11 or will establish the point. This bet pays even money (1 times the wager).
- "Don't Pass" Bet: betting, for the first roll, that the shooter will crap out (2, 3 or 12). If the 7 or the 11 comes out, this bet loses. If the shooter establishes the point, the bet will win if he shoots a 7 before rolling the point. This bet pays even money (1 to 1).
- "Come" Bet: the "come" is intended for returning players, following the initial roll.
If the dice show 7 or 11, the bet wins. If the dice show 2, 3 or 12, the bet loses. If the dice show 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, this number becomes the "come" point and the dealer places the bet in the box corresponding to the number. If the shooter rolls the "come" point again before hitting a 7, the bet wins. The "come" stays in place until 7 or the "come" point hit. This bet returns 1 times the wager (1:1). - "Don't Come" Bets: bet similar to the "Don't Pass Line Bet" but placed after the initial roll. The player bets that the total of the dice on the next roll will be 2 or 3. If this is the case, he wins one times his bet. If the total is 7 or 11, the player loses his bet. If the total is 12, the bet is returned to the player. If the total is 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10, the shooter rolls again until he gets a 7 or the previous total ("come point"). If he rolls a 7 before the come point, he wins one times his bet. If he gets the same total again, he loses his bet.
- "Odds" Bet: this is an additional bet on one of the 4 previous bets. It is placed after the first roll.
- "Field" Bet: bet wins if the next roll of the dice gives a 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11 or 12. For 3, 4, 9, 10 or 11, the bet wins the equivalent of 1 times the bet. If this is a 2, the bet wins 2 to 1, if it's a 12, it wins 3 to 1.
- "Big 6" Bets: Big 6 wins if a 6 comes out before a 7. This bet pays even money (1:1).
- "Big 8" Bets: Big 8 wins if an 8 is rolled before a 7. This bet pays even money (1:1).
- "Place" Bets: 2 choices. Either one bets that 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10 is rolled before a 7, or vice versa.
- "7" Bet: wins if a 7 hits on the next roll of the dice. This bet pays 4 times the wager (4:1).
- "11" Bet: wins if an 11 hits on the next roll of the dice. This bet pays 15 times the wager (15:1).
- "Craps" Bet: wins if a craps hits on the next roll of the dice (being a 2, 3 or 12). This bet pays 7 times the wager (7:1).
