The Rules of Casino War

Casino War – or Bataille Royale in French – is without a shadow of a doubt the easiest card game to play in a casino. In Casino War the player and the casino draw a card, and the one who has the card with the higher value wins the round. It's thus a very simple game, a game one is easily drawn to as a child or adolescent.

That's why Casino War is probably the simplest card game that exists in the world.

Also, many casinos offer you the opportunity to practice for free. Titan Casino can be cited as a notable example.

All you have to do is to place a bet. The dealer deals one card to each player as well as to himself. As we have previously explained, if the value of the card of one of the players is greater than that of the dealer, it's the player who wins. If the dealer holds a card higher in rank than yours, you lose.

In case of a tie, you can either agree to divide the amount of your winnings in half, or simply "join battle" with your opponent: at that point you will have to double the bet from your initial wager. You will also receive two new cards for deciding the winner. If at the end of this duel you come to failure, you lose the entirety of your winnings!

The rules of Casino War are presented below:

  • The game of Casino War is played with six decks of cards. The rank of the cards is the same as in Poker, except that the Ace is always the highest card.
  • After placing your bet, you receive a card. Next, the dealer of the casino also receives a card. Your card is then compared to that of the dealer and if it's higher than yours, you lose. If yours is higher, you win, obviously.
  • If you decide to do battle, you have to make another bet. The size of this bet must be exactly the same as your initial wager. The dealer then does the same thing. Next, the dealer burns three cards and gives one card to the player and one to himself. If the second card to the player has the same rank as that of the dealer, you win even money on your bet, both on your initial bet and your battle wager. If the second card of the dealer is higher than yours, then unfortunately you lose the two bets.
  • Apart from the ordinary bet in Casino War, you can also play in a tie mode. This bet usually gives you odds of 10 to 1. Above the box where you ordinarily place your bet, there is an additional box where you can place this bet: it's known as a "Tie Bet".

Strategies in Casino War

It doesn't take a genius to figure out that a battle will always be the best option in cases of a tie. The house edge is less than 1% if the player opts to "engage in battle" in case of a tie.

One minor detail: you should never bet everything on a single hand in Casino War. One always needs to have enough money for battles.
